For more than 30
years we have occupied the same building on Jefferson St and Ohio Avenue
in New Port Richey. During those years, the commanders, adjutants and other veteran
volunteers in the organization have changed but the objective remains
the same.
At the national level, our government through the
Veterans Administration does a terrific job with compensation and
medical care. The DAV continues to work for disabled
veterans
in Washington making sure that the VA gets the funding it needs to
provide disabled veterans with the programs they need and deserve.
At the local level, chapters across the
nation assist veterans in processing their claims for the benefits
that they've earned after returning to civilian life. Some physically
wounded... some wounded in mind and spirit... all carry their wounds for
life.
The men and women of
our armed forces answered the nations call to fight for freedom and our
way of life in all wars past and present. Our chapter extends a helping
hand to all veterans in the Tampa Bay area and beyond.
We are always appreciative of donations
from local government and private business and individuals. |
